 * I built a simple website in an unused domain of mine and want to migrate it to
   a friend’s. Something is preventing it from going through and it doesn’t appear
   to be a plugin issue because I’ve used both Duplicator Pro and All in One, both
   of which fail. Tech support at both plugin sites have no idea what the problem
   is. Neither does Bluehost.
 * Is there a problem importing to wordpress.org from a bluehost domain? Is there
   something in the settings of the new site that needs to be checked? Does it matter
   if the new site is .org or .com?
 * I’m on MacOSBigSur, 11.2.3

 * None of those points matter in site migration, at least, not in my experience.
 * What matters is what `Something is preventing it from going through` means.
 * Once we know that we eventually will be able to pinpoint an issue and suggest
   a solution.
 * For example, are there errors? If so, what errors? What are the steps you take
   and at which point do those steps produce unexpected results? What are the expected
   and the unexpected results?
 * Usually, AIO will work “better” than Duplicator in the sense that its features
   are less relying on server space and limits. Duplicator is great but often can
   get stuck building the package due to not enough server resources or too big
   packages.
 * I have never had such issue with AIO, however I use the PRO version of AIO, the
   free version has limits, so that would not work for most of the websites I work
   with.
 * To resolve the issue you experience we definitely need more details.
 * PS:
    What do you refer to with “.org or .com”? Do you simply mean your domain,
   or do you mean the WordPress .org (self hosted) versus WordPress .com (calypso)?
   I have done both, and no issues where found, however migrating to or from a WP
   ORG (self hosted) to or from a WP COM (Calypso) site can mean to do a few more
   steps mainly due to the Jetpack stuff installed on the .com variant. But generically
   speaking, migration is possible between the both.
