    Hi pierreblanche,

It looks like the site may not be loading WPForms Lite assets for the form to be displayed and functioning properly, and this could be due to a conflict between another plugin, or the site theme.

To troubleshoot the issue, please see our detailed guide on how to test for plugin or theme conflict.

    Hope this helps 🙂

    Hello Ethan

There is a contradiction somewhere. According to the message in the WP dashboard this is supposed to be a painless migration: “Important: Pirate Forms is being retired. We have created an easy migrator to move your forms + settings to WPForms, which is the most user-friendly WordPress form builder. Click here to migrate to WPForms”.

Surely if Pirate forms works and WPForms is a drop-in replacement then there should be no need to troubleshoot the entire installation.

Well i decided to take the plunge and do the checks and lo and behold there seems to be a theme issue. The troublesome contact form displayed correctly with all the plugins active using twenty seventeen. So i have passed this on to the theme author to see what can be done.

    Hi pierreblanche,

    Thanks for the update!

In case it helps to share more information with the theme author, in cases where we’ve seen similar issue, the page template might be missing a wp_footer() component. This is an essential component that is present on most themes, and many plugins, including WPForms, use that to load plugin assets required for styling and other functionalities.

    Hope this helps 🙂
