 * Hi. I have two sites that are with WordPress.org. One is a large food blog that
   many people still view but I really don’t want to continue with all the upkeep
   involved. I think I read that it is possible to migrate the content back to WordPress.
   com and that Jetpack can do this – is that correct? If that’s not possible, I
   would have to consider simply closing down that site in particular. Thanks in
   advance.

 * That’s correct! You can check how to do this [here](https://wordpress.com/support/moving-from-self-hosted-wordpress-to-wordpress-com/).
 * Do you want to shift your site to the WordPress.com platform? If you will let
   us know your goal, we can assist you more better. 🙂

 * Hi again, thanks for your reply. Yes, I want to move both sites to the WordPress.
   com platform so that I no longer have to pay for self-hosting. I only have basic
   knowledge around IT so wondering if Jetpack can assist in the migration as a
   service. One of my sites is large – [http://www.thekiwicook.com](http://www.thekiwicook.com)
   and I’m a bit nervous about moving it myself. Thanks again.

 * Hi there, [@susieqnz62](https://wordpress.org/support/users/susieqnz62/),
 * Normally we don’t provide direct support for migrating site to WordPress.com.
 * However, please take a look at the page my colleague Animesh linked in their
   latest reply, and if you struggle with anything we’ll be happy to point you to
   the correct place where to find assistance.
 * Rest assured we won’t let you do this alone if you need help 🙂
    Just let us
   know what the pain points might be, for starters.
 * Thanks!

 * Thanks for the reassurance. Mainly I’m concerned that my food site has multiple
   links to other sites and a recipe plugin. There’s also a function within the
   custom made site that creates a recipe finder. I imagine these things will disappear
   in the transfer?

 * Links to other sites would be preserved, assuming they are contained within the
   regular page/post content area.
 * Your recipe plugin and custom function may be an issue though. Plugins and custom
   themes can only be used on WordPress.com if you have the Business plan, otherwise
   you would need to find an alternative solution for those features.
 * I’d suggest contacting WordPress.com support if you have more specific questions
   about the migration.
