  • So I had an old site at [ redundant link removed ] I decieded to build a new site on the server and then delete the old one and move over what I created.

So I made a folder on the server called (of all things) “newsite” I built a new site inside the “newsite” folder. I am about half way done and decieded to move it to the front. We do not have enough traffic to worry about it being partially done.

Anyway. Now when you go to the site it automaticlly goes to the “newsite” folder. So how do I fix this? Do I have to rebuild each page? Can I change the URL’s How do I get it to look like it was built up front and not in a folder in the back of the server?

What I did. I downloaded the entire “newsite” folder. Then deleted the other pages that were in the WWW folder. Then uploaded the contents of the “newsite” folder on my desktop into the WWW folder on the server. Everything still works but the URL stills shows /newsite/

If someone could point me in the right direction or give me a resource to read I am happy to do some homework.

    Thanks to all.

    Jeff
