    Hello,

I’ve been using a Podcast Plug-in called PodPress for several years and am migrating my content over to the Seriously Simple Podcast plug in. I’ve downloaded and activated the Seriously Simple Stats add on and am wondering if there’s a way I can manually update the listen count from PodPress over to the Seriously Simple Stat’s platform? I realize of course that there are three different options for Episode Listens –

    1. Played in new Window
    2. Direct Download
    3. Audio Player

But I’d be happy just to add the play count from PodPress as a ‘Direct Download’ number and move on from there.

If you can tell me where to manually update the stats number in the database I’d really appreciate it.

    Cheers,

    David

Well the stats ‘number’ isn’t just a number like that. This plugin creates a new table (called {prefix}ssp_stats) and stores each listen in a new line in that table. The number you see on the stats page is counting the entries in that table.

The only way to manually add stats for a particular episode would be to add a new entry to that table with the correct episode ID for each listen – if you have a look at the table structure you’ll see how you need to input the data.

I probably won’t build a tool for this, so you’ll have to run the SQL insert manually.

    Cheers,
    Hugh
