# Migrating Sidebars – a tip

 * I’ve seen this question a few times, and thought I’d share a solution that worked
   seamlessly for me just recently.
 * I migrated all sidebars created with Content Aware Sidebars using an awesome 
   plugin called ‘Widget Importer & Exporter’ [https://wordpress.org/plugins/widget-importer-exporter/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/widget-importer-exporter/)
 * All sidebars came in perfectly to the new host! You export a ‘.wie’ file from
   your old site and then import to the new host using the plugin and voila!
 * Big thanks to Joachim for an indispensable plugin and to Steven Gliebe for another
   that makes migration a pleasure! Hope this helps anyone needing to migrate their
   sidebars!

   make a change to them.
