• I need to know if this is possible, and how to do it, if it is, because I cannot figure it out!

I started designing a website on a local server using MAMP and wordpress in Florida on an iMac.

Is there any way to clone/migrate that website to my computer in Michigan so I don’t have to start over?

I’ve tried exporting the SQL file and importing it in Michigan through myphpadmin, but I can’t get it to work.

I would check out this guide for moving a site. That should be what you’re looking for, but let me know if you have any specific questions.

One thing lead to another, and I accidentally deleted the original “wordpress” database file from dropbox, which is where the original host server was working from.

After restoring the file in Dropbox, the original site now won’t load either, so now I have no access to the site. Sigh…

    I’ll keep reading…
