# Migrating

 * Hi!
 * I had exported all my contents from
    WordPress.com site to my new wordpress hosting
   paid site but Why weren’t all my categories migrated? And also the few that were
   migrated don’t have any posts under them. They show zero posts, and yet I had
   so many posts under them.
 * Is there a way to migrate all my categories and also make sure all posts are 
   under the right category?

 * I went to tools from old site then export then export all contents then i went
   to new site and clicked on import I unzipped the two files and uploaded them 
   separately.
 * The contents I received and now i noticed categories are missing and also the
   posts are not in the categories.

 * Did you find a fix? Unfortunately, we may not be able to help as you are trying
   to migrate from WP.com where they do not really allow you to access backups and
   to my knowledge also do not allow backup plugins.
 * That said, I am happy to try helping you further if you provide more details 
   about what exactly you did/used under tools.
