Migrated to another server now I can't upload images... (3 posts)

So I migrated this site to form development server to production server and I always encounter a permissions problem with the image uploads path. I don't know why this happens specifically but I'm assuming it's permissions related, and I certainly don't know how to resolve it. Can someone help?

This is the error message I get: "The uploaded file could not be moved to /scratch/www/wvcc-new/wp-content/uploads/2009/06."

there are several directories the user that runs apache needs write access.

Thanks Peter! I read through that and have already made those adjustments, still no luck.

Maybe this isn't a permissions error then?

I copied all the files from development to production, I only changed the wp-config file to use the new DB credentials. And then I changed all instances of the development url (which was west-valley-community-church.theportlandco.com) with the production url (www2.westvalley.org), and then also the uploads path from development (/home/d363f86/public_html/west-valley-community-church/wp-content/uploads) to production (no forward slash, just wp-content/).

    Any more ideas?
