I have recently moved my site to a subdomain, and used WP All in One Migration to help me migrate. Everything went smoothly but when I connected Jetpack, none of my previous stats now show up. It seems like it is starting from a blank slate.

How am I able to I migrate my previous stats to this new subdomain?

    Hi @bsocialmtl,

I’ve merged the stats from your site into the new – can you check and verify that they look correct now?

@bruceallen – thank you so much, it worked!

@bruceallen : It looks like the old stats have been migrated over but it doesn’t seems like it’s counting new stats? I checked google analytics and it has visitors counted for April 24, but on Jetpack stats says 0. Is there a way I can fix this? Thanks!

    Hey @bsocialmtl,

Looks like Jetpack isn’t connected to your site right now. You can find guidance on reconnecting here:

    https://jetpack.com/support/reconnecting-reinstalling-jetpack

Note that Jetpack can only gather stats data when it is properly connected, so you won’t have stats for the days when Jetpack was disconnected. But, once you’ve reconnected, stats should aggregate, moving forward.

Let us know how it goes!

Hmm, I followed the steps to re-connect Jetpack to my site and that seems to have worked but I am still not seeing any day-to-day stats – I see my old stats but no new ones, although google analytics shows my site having visitors.

Could the reason because my WP install is on a subdomain and the domain points to another host (Vercel). My new site is build in React so it’s pointing to Vercel but the API to the subdomain where wordpress is installed.

    Hi @bsocialmtl,

I did some checks, and Jetpack and the Stats seem to be well connected and working fine on https://wordpress.thehueandcry.com/. I can see what you reported about Stats not showing big figures; I suspect this is because the homepage https://wordpress.thehueandcry.com/ has just a link to redirect the viewers to your main site at https://www.thehueandcry.com/

So basically the Stats module is catching only the views from people actually landing on that homepage, while it doesn’t track any stats related to the people clicking onto the link leading to your main site content.

Does it make sense to you?

That makes sense – thanks for looking into this!
