    Hi,

I just tested migrating from POPUPS to WP-POPUPS-LITE. I used the import function to migrate my popups.
Everything seems very smooth, and I just had to update the spu-numbers on my pages to make things work again.
There is just one thing I can’t seem to get to work.

On my home page I have a button (‘GRATIS EBOOK’) that triggers a popup.

In POPUPS a success messsage is shown inside the popup, without reloading the page.
In WP-POPUPS-LITE the whole page is reloaded.

I cannot find the setting that instructs the popup to use AJAX (instead of reloading) anymore.

    Can you please advice?

    Best regards,
    Rob

I don’t see this plugin enabled on that url. You don’t mention which form you are using, But if it’s gravity forms you should enable ajax on the form itself.

    Damian,

sorry, my bad, I reverted to the old plugin. Shouldn’t have done that while asking for support. I’ll activate WP-Popups-Lite now.

The form I’m using is Easy Forms for Mailchimp (shortcode ‘yikes-mailchimp’), with Ajax enabled submission switched ‘On’.

    Thanks,
    Rob

Thanks Damian, but alas, no joy.
I installed the new plugin, cleared all caches, but the pages still reloads on submit.

Check the form settings to be sure that AJAX is set to on, It’s working locally for me.

I use the same form going back and forth from the old POPUPS to the new WP-POPUPS-LITE.
    AJAX is ‘On’.

That’s weird, I don’t see the form sending ajax. Could you create a test page and place the form shortcode so I can check? Also make the popup display in the same page

    Hi Damian,

sorry it took so long, but I’ve made a test page with a button to the popup on it.
It uses a trigger class to activate the popup, as I cannot find the shortcode for WP-Popups.

    Thanks again,
    Rob

    Updated to version 2.0.3.3.
    The problem persists.

Your form is still not configured for AJAX. I don’t see
yikes-easy-mc-ajax-js-extra tags printed in your site while indicates the form to use ajax.
Like I mentioned earlier, try pasting the same form on the test page and check if ajax works.

Assumption is the mother of all f#-ups.

So sorry Damian, my assumption was that my form was using AJAX. And since I was using the same form everything should work. However, with the previous plugin it was the popup using AJAX, not the form…
You were right all along and I need to start reading more carefully.

Thanks for your time and sorry for the inconvenience,
    Rob
