I need to manually migrate an unorthodox* WPMS setup to a new host. I paid for lifetime hosting with a new host. So I have to migrate.

*I have 2 WPMS installs, each one has a paid domain, but I have them both under one domain in a directory. Because I pay to host one site, not two sites. A web host did that for me.

    Question:
Can I use the instructions for a standard WPMS migration?

    Factors involved:

    1. User limitations. I’ve used WP for many many years I’m familiar with but not knowledgeable about the site files, folders, and structure. I’ve never migrated a website.
    2. Cannot use plugins for backups
    3. New host cannot use their plugin to migrate. I can’t afford their manual migration cost for some time.
    4. WPMS installs are very old and cluttered. Lots of extra dead site folders and leftover files I’m afraid to eliminate.

Any input or advice is greatly appreciated.
    Thank you

    * More: I thought to export each site/subsite content into a fresh WPMS installs. But I am not sure how to duplicate the network with network structure. And it seems like files may not link together properly.

    Thank you.
