"Migrate" standard attachments into Attachments plugin

I’ve got some legacy sites using WP built-in attachments that I’d like to move into the Attachments plugin.

Any pointers for how to achieve this programmatically, or using SQL?

For a given page, I want to copy every attachment that’s a child of that page into an Attachments instance.
