    Hello,
I have a simple HTML site with good Google page rankings, many backlinks etc.

I'm considering to step over to WordPress, but am afraid to loose the good SEO performance and the backlinks.

Can anyone point me to a good article that describes how to do a migration without loosing SEO performance?

    Thanks

As long as the domain doesn´t change there will be no effect.

But if you have a page that was http://www.yourdomain.com/portfolio
that now is http://www.yourdomain.com/blog/portfolio then search engines will report the old link as lost.

Try to keep the page titles, urls (see permalink structure), meta tags, on page content and things like H1, H2 tags exactly as the are on your old site and you should be ok. Big changes to all of that can affect your rankings.
