• Hi: I am hoping someone will have some ideas on this one, and very much appreciate any help.

I set up a blog on wordpress.COM (there is only test content), but now have my own server and want to move it.

I have WordPress set up and running on my server with the same theme as on wordpress.COM, but I’ve done a lot of work in setting up the wordpress.COM blog with just the right settings, theme settings, etc.

Now I want to move those settings to my installation. I don’t care about the content (posts, comments, etc.).

I also want to move the custom images I uploaded into the theme.

Is there any way to do this?

I would appreciate any help! Thank you!

  • you will not get access the core files or database of wordpress.com blogs.. but you can replicate what you have done on that blog as you must have the idea. Sorry but there is no option to import those settings in to your self hosted blog as you won’t get access to the core files.
