 * Hi there,
 * I have a multisite WP set up in a subdomain (example.mydomain.com) on my GDaddy
   account, for customization and testing purposes. I’m adding some finishing touches,
   and almost ready to put it in the public address (mydomain.com), but I have no
   idea where to start.
 * Should I install a new WP and overwrite folders and databases? Should I look
   for some plugins?
 * Any pointers into the right direction will be greatly appreciated.
 * Thanks!

 * Aaaaauuuugh. You have to do this: [http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress#Moving_WordPress_Multisite](http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress#Moving_WordPress_Multisite)

 * Thanks Mika. From your “Aaaaauuuugh” I get this is going to be a serious pain,
   right?

 * It can be. The script in that post will help a lot, but it’s easy to mess up.
   Make good backups.

 * I think I’m gonna give it a try today. I’m preparing my backups right now. In
   addition to the link you provided, I also found this one: [http://www.realisingdesigns.com/2010/09/16/moving-the-domain-of-a-wordpress-multisite-install/](http://www.realisingdesigns.com/2010/09/16/moving-the-domain-of-a-wordpress-multisite-install/)

   and also yours: [http://halfelf.org/2012/moving-wordpress-multisite/](http://halfelf.org/2012/moving-wordpress-multisite/)
 * In my case, I will be moving from a subdomain to my main domain, and not from
   a subfolder, meaning it’s subdomain.maindomain.com, and NOT maindomain.com/something.
 * Are the steps still the same? Do you know about any extra precaution I should
   take? Thanks!

 * Follow the codex doc, if possible. I wrote it and tested it a couple times, so
   I’m fairly confident it still works (I tried to make it as simple as I could,
   since the more steps, the easier to mess up).
 * Moving from a subdomain to the main domain is easier than a subfolder, I feel,
   but when you’re done moving, search the DB one last time.

 * It worked perfectly Mika. Thanks
