 * Right now I have website that is half HTML and half WordPress.
 * The HTML side is like [http://www.example.com](http://www.example.com), [http://www.example.com/index.html](http://www.example.com/index.html),
   [http://www.example.com/contact-us.htm](http://www.example.com/contact-us.htm),
   etc.
 * The WordPress side is like [http://www.example.com/blog/](http://www.example.com/blog/),
   [http://www.example.com](http://www.example.com) /blog/index.php/contact-us/,
   etc.
 * What is the most efficient way to migrate this? I’m thinking that I need a fresh
   WordPress install plus theme and plug-ins under [http://www.example.com](http://www.example.com)
   and then edit the MySql database so that the pages, post and other links move
   from example.com/blog/* to example.com/*
 * I’m also thinking then that I’ll have to do 301 redirects from the example.com/
   blog/* links to the example.com/* links
 * Does this sound right? I have about 150 html pages to move. Anyway and all help
   will be greatly appreciated.

 * Are all of your pages in WordPress already? If so, you don’t have to edit anything
   in the database – just take a look at this:
 * [https://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory#Using_a_pre-existing_subdirectory_install](https://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory#Using_a_pre-existing_subdirectory_install)
 * This will show you how to get your WordPress content, found at example.com/blog/
   to display as if they are just coming from example.com/.
 * Let me know if that makes sense – you’ve already done most of what you need to
   do!

 * Hello, thanks for the response.
 * I tried the procedure listed at the link. My trouble is that I couldn’t get past
   the 404 error page. Using example.com/wp-admin or example.com/blog/wp-admin I
   received a 404 error.
 * So, I copied (not moved) all of the WordPress files from the example.com/blog/
   folder to the root folder. Using example.com/wp-admin I was able to get to the
   logon page and logon once.
 * Unfortunately, I started receiving errors like below. Now I cannot logon as I
   simply receive this error:
 * Warning: require(/home4/blahblah/public_html/example.com/wp-includes/option.php):
   failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home4/blahblah/public_html/
   example.com.com/wp-includes/functions.php on line 8
 * Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required ‘/home4/blahblah/public_html/
   example.com/wp-includes/option.php’ (include_path=’.:/opt/php54/lib/php’) in /
   home4/blahblah/public_html/example.com/wp-includes/functions.php on line 8
 * Any Ideas?
