Thanks for reaching out @giancarlo51. Indeed I can imagine how that would be frustrating. With Site Kit active, this shouldn’t impact the management of articles from a sites wp-admin panel. So we can try to determine more on this and ensure you can edit articles as expected, please share the following:
- Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.
- Does the same occur for other administrator profiles? If you don’t have any such profiles, you can create another profile and see if you can edit an article from this profile. This may be useful in case there is corrupt profile.
Once we have the above information, we can advise on this further. The editing of articles from a WordPress administrator profile isn’t something Site Kit typically impacts, so we may ask you to check whether the same occurs with Site Kit active as the only active plugin using the Health Check and Troubleshooting plugin. This may be useful in the event you’re facing a multi plugin conflict.
Looking forward to hearing from you. Let me know if you have any questions with the above. Thank you.
Many thanks for sharing your Site Health information @giancarlo51. From reviewing the details, I don’t see any obvious cause of not being able to edit posts. Based on this, please follow the steps below:
- Login to your live site from a Chrome browser incognito window (using your administrator account).
- Install and activate the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin.
- Navigate to “Plugins > Health Check & Troubleshooting > Troubleshoot”.
- From the same screen click on the “Available Plugins” tab at the top right and then click on the “Enable” option next to “Site Kit by Google“.
- Attempt to edit a post once more.
Let me know how you get on with the above, or ask if you have any questions. Should issues remain, please share if you’re able to edit a post from a different administrator profile with Site Kit active.
