  • Hi Preston,

thanks for using MH Magazine lite.

Not sure what guidelines those are, as I am no expert at WordPress.

This falls under the “Presentation vs Functionality” guideline. In detail “Themes must not generate user content, or configure non-theme site options or site functionality.” – something like this falls under plugin territory on WordPress.org.

This feature slipped through the initial review process when we first submitted the theme to WordPress.org and as we’re dedicated to meet the guidelines, we’ve removed it now to be fully compliant. In addition, it wouldn’t be fair to other theme authors to include something in the theme that others aren’t allowed to.

However, to make up for the removal of this feature, we’ve added two new widgets in the free theme. And in case you still want to use the subheading in the free theme, your workaround is the way to go. 😉

As an alternative, the premium version of MH Magazine still has the subheading feature included, among many other additional features, options and custom widgets to customize your website.

Thanx. I figured it was something like that. 🙂
