    Whats up!

My Yoast SEO settings for the homepage do not update in Google. It has been many weeks and my site has been indexed several times. I am running WordPress 4.6.1 and Yoast 3.9

How can I fix this so I can change the info to my site?

Google uses the search term to highlight information in search results which is why the meta description may be different than what you entered into the plugin.

To see the meta title and description without search term manipulation, use the site search operator followed immediately by the URL of your site.

Using the site search, the description match what you’ve entered into the plugin screenshot you provided.

However, Google’s cache of your site confirms they see the title you entered into the plugin but are not using it. Ultimately Google will, as you have seen, make the final decision on what they show in their search results. You may see a different title for all sorts of reasons. This article on why Google wont show the right page titles tries to explain it.

Due to this being handled on Google’s end, there is little you can do to force Google to display the preferred title. The best advice I can provide, unfortunately, is to try different titles. This article provides advice on crafting good titles for SEO.
