    Hello folks,

I’m updating a community theatre site for their new season. I changed out the 4 banners for the new season and noticed that the slider isn’t working on MS Explorer 11. It only shows one banner, never changes and the navigation buttons are missing. No errors seen on the browser. Firefox, Edge and Chrome all work as expected.

It was working a couple of weeks ago, but I’m not sure it has been working since the last major update.

All my plugins are currently up to date. Nothing was changed on the site as far as plugins are concerned other than to keep them updated as they are released.

    Here’s what we are running:
    – Admin Menu Editor v1.8.3
    – Cloudflare v3.3.2
    – CloudGuard v1.4.0
    – Contact Form Email v 1.2.40
    – Disable Comments v1.7.1
    – Duplicate Page v2.6
    – Events Planner PRO v2.0.8
    – EWWW Image Optimizer 4.2.1
    – Gallery Manager Lite v1.6.34
    – Google Analytics Dashboard for WP (GADWP) 5.3.3
    – iThemes Security 6.9.2
    – MetaSlider v3.7.2
    – TinyMCE Advanced v4.7.11
    – Unattach v1.2.2
    – Under Construction v3.0
    – WP Mailto Links – Manage Email Links v2.1.7
    – WP Super Cache v1.6.1
    – WP-Optimize v2.2.4
    – Yoast SEO v7.5.1

I’ve tried multiple computers, cleared cache and all the usual suspects. All browsers work with the exception of Explorer 11.

    Suggestions?

I should add that it’s a custom theme written by my son for the theatre web site.

    Hi @markgcollis,

Can you try to disable Cloudflare and SuperCache and try it out? It looks like one of those is adding a hash to the script tags, which I’m not sure is being read by IE.

This means that out inline script which is loading just fine, isn’t being run.

We haven’t made a release in 2 months, so if it’s something that occurred recently, it’s most likely another plugin you updated.

    Nope.
Disabling Cloudflare and/or SuperCache didn’t seem to make any difference.

I went through the list and disabled what I could and retried them. I’m still having the issue on IE 11.

It’s most definitely something that is interacting with the plugin. I didn’t assume MetaSlider was the culprit, I was just wondering if anyone else had seen this and if there was a known fix.

We think we found the problem.

It might be an issue with RocketLoader, an me setting on CloudFlare (I’m quoting). I believe that we have it disabled now. Things seem to be working now.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

Thanks for the follow up. Let us know if you have any more issues.

By the way, if you’re enjoying the MetaSlider plugin please leave us a 5-star review. They really help us out. Thanks!
