MetaSlider
-
Upon noticing that the Pic had a slider associated with it, I went into the Slider admin panel and discovered that there was only one pic. I tried to add more and cannot. In fact, the admin panel is only thinking with the spinning wheel…..
Do you have any suggestions?

Hi @randyhoffman. Thanks for using MetaSlider. We have a troubleshooting guide that can help: https://www.metaslider.com/docs/troubleshooting/
Please go through those steps. They will help you find what is causing this issue.
Sorry to be so ignorant regarding this I have only be maintaining this for 0 or 10 months.
I was advised by the developer to be wary of major changes regarding the consequences of these changes.
Here is what I have done
Step #1. Is the issue with all your slideshows? We only have one slide show
Step #2. Does it help to use a different browser? I only have access to one browser
Step #3. Does it help to use "No Conflict Mode"? I am not versed on “No Conflict Mode”
Step #4. Are you using a Legacy slideshow option? Yes, I believe so, It has all 4 libraries
Step #5. Does it help to disable optimization or security plugins? I have tried this, No
Step #6. Try changing your MetaSlider theme and WordPress theme I have not tried this, I do not want to make something worse and not be able to undo the damage
Step #7. Is your WordPress site up-to-date? I believe we are using 5.3 17 Ultra Premium
Step #8. Does it help to use an earlier version of MetaSlider? I have not tried this
Step #9. Does it help to disable plugins or themes? I have tried updating plugins and clearing cashe and history
Step #10. Is your server up-to-date? I am not sure, we are in the process of adding security.
Step #11. Are you running multiple copies of jQuery? NoThanks @randyhoffman. It may be that you need someone with more experience to help debug this. At least someone with access to more than one browser.
Is your version of the MetaSlider plugin up-to-date at least?
Steve:
Thank you for your help!!
Yes, it is up to date.
I am taking from this is that the browser is a good place to start?
If that does not help, what would you suggest trying next?
Yes, please do try and test a different browser, the No Conflict mode and more.
Do try and test all the steps in that troubleshooting guide.

Steve Burge.
Thanks for using MetaSlider. We’ve not heard from you in a couple of weeks so are closing this discussion for now. Please post back if this remains an issue.

NoHi @randyhoffman. Sorry, there’s lot of steps skipped there. We don’t really have any feedback on 1, 2, and 3. I’d recommend trying 4, 6 and 8. The question isn’t answered for 7.
We’re not allowed to directly debug sites for users here on the WordPress forums.
We can do that for MetaSlider Pro members.
Steve:
I understand my ambiguity and I have tried to clarify my answers in bold. Please accept my apology.
Step #1. Is the issue with all your slideshows? We only have one slide show and this affects it. YES
Step #2. Does it help to use a different browser? I only have access to one browser NO. I tried edge and firefox.
Step #3. Does it help to use “No Conflict Mode”? I am not versed on “No Conflict Mode”. Conflict Mode is not available
Step #4. Are you using a Legacy slideshow option? Yes, I believe so, It has all 4 Old libraries
Step #5. Does it help to disable optimization or security plugins? I have tried this, No it does not help
Step #6. Try changing your MetaSlider theme and WordPress theme I have not tried this, I do not want to make something worse and not be able to undo the damage. Where is the “MetaSlider theme?
Step #7. Is your WordPress site up-to-date? I believe we are using 5.3 17 Ultra Premium
Step #8. Does it help to use an earlier version of MetaSlider? I have not tried this, how does this work?
Step #9. Does it help to disable plugins or themes? I have tried updating plugins and clearing cashe and history
Step #10. Is your server up-to-date? I am not sure, we are in the process of adding security.
Step #11. Are you running multiple copies of jQuery? NoHi @randyhoffman. Thanks. OK, we’re on Step 3. Does it help to try No Conflict Mode? https://www.metaslider.com/docs/what-does-no-conflict-mode-do-and-why-is-it-needed/
Regarding No Conflict Mode, The Meta Slider Continues the spinning Icon and will not finish loading and Advanced menu is not available. I am not sure why, I just installed the latest update.
OK, thanks. On to Step 4.
Does it help to use “FlexSlider”?
FlexSlider will not engage, when clicked on, when it is an option
OK, it sounds like you may have a plugin conflict or out-dated plugin. Please move on to try Steps 6, 7 and 8.
I will try these again, please note it may take some time.
