meta_key=’keyname’ orderby=meta_value order=DESC not working

    I have this short code. [mla_gallery meta_key=”pdfsortorder” orderby=meta_value order=DESC]

    pdfsortorder is an ACF numeric custom field. 3 pdfs with meta_values 1, 2, 3 and orderby isn’t working – the pdfs are sorted by the title.

    WordPress 6.7.1

    Solved – I shoud be using meta_value_num

    Thanks for posting your question and for forging ahead to find the solution before I could respond.

    I am leaving this topic resolved, but please update it if you have any other issues with sorting your gallery on a custom field value.
