  • Theme is Twenty eleven version 1.4 (latest)

How do I remove three items from the sidebar shown under Meta. See this picture to understand my question:

I only want to remove the items within the red box in the picture shown.

I have looked at sidebar.php, and sidebar-page.php but can’t see where the entries are coming from. Once I know this, I can add some of my own entries as well.

    Thank you.

  • you need to change WP-includes/general-template.php in WordPress folder. there you need to make changes in the <li> items between wp_loginout() and wp_meta() to get rid of the three mentioned items and also if you want to add any item.

never edit WordPress core files; the changes would get overwritten with the next update, and you might break your WordPress installation.

for your idea, try to use one of the customisable ‘meta widgets’ from the plugin list: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search.php?q=meta+widget
