• Hi there!

I am in need of a good SEO plugin for my WP site. I was impressed by your plugin, but I am encountering some problems now.

I have the Plugin Version 2.2.4.2 installed on my german WP site.

I have problems saving the meta description, it does not take any changes. I holds still the first description I entered the first time, and won’t let me change it. In the all pages views I see under “SEO title” the correct version. If I edit the page, I see under “Title” the correct version. But on the page itself (frontend) and the preview I keep seeing the old one. If I change the title, and save it, after reload everything is on the old version again.

    Please see screenshot:

Also I have problems on other pages, it wount take changes or description at all.

    Any advice would be great!

    Hi Codingowl,

Are you using a multi language plugin such as WPML to generate the German pages or are those static pages you created in WordPress? We need to know how you create those pages in order to be able to help you here.

    Thanks for the answer!

The problem occurs at static pages, and I am not using any language plugin. It is a basic german installation.

I forgot to mention, I have already tried to deactivate every plugin I had on my homepage, but it did not help when testing again.

    Hi Codingowl,

The SEO Title tag and Meta Description for the homepage can only be controlled by going to All in One SEO, General Settings, Home Page Settings. Can you send me a screenshot of what you have set there.

Oh…. you are right, there it was! Wow, how embarassing, now its working, I can make the change in the General settings and it is saved properly!

The problem occurs too on the contact page. It is a static page also, but it has also overall a strange behaviour. (I had before the recent template changes used a custom page template, which was not included in the recent update, not sure if its related) The contact page is using the normal static page template now, but it is also not saving any changes I make in the page editor. After saving the seo-meta remains like it was before. I can make the change only in the pages list. The strange thing about the page is also, that it is not reacting to the WP setting of having only 3 revisions. All other pages behaves fine, but this one is sticked to about 15 revisions.

I am not sure if this problem is related with all in one seo, if you can say its not, please feel free to close the thread, I will look further to it and open another if neccessary. But if you have any clue what it could be, would be great

The issue with saving sounds like an AJAX problem. Check your browser console for errors. However, it sounds like you have some issues with that contact page that are not related to All in One SEO Pack given you say it doesn’t react to settings for revisions.
