Hey @alison66
Upon checking, it does look like the meta description appears differently in the search results from your preferred meta description that you set with the Yoast SEO plugin.
Did you just recently make the change to the meta description? We did a site:
search for that article on Google and it looks like the content was cached on April 15, 2021, Google may not have recrawled your page and updated it with current information just yet.
You can learn more about it here — https://yoast.com/help/my-meta-descriptions-arent-showing-up-in-the-search-result-pages/
Hey Alison
I just checked the footer code file, and the meta desription was there.
Best regards

Hi,
The meta description tag should show in the <head> section of the source code. You might want to try requesting for updated information in Google Search Console to signal to Google that your meta description has been updated — https://yoast.com/help/fetch-as-googlebot/
However, please do note that it will still be the final say of Google as to when they would decide to recrawl your website (which could take hours or days, depending on certain factors) and if they decide to output your preferred meta description, or if they would still just output their version of the snippet which they believe gives a better description of the page.
