    (@autojourno)

I am having trouble with the meta description on search engines such as Google. I downloaded the popular SEO plugin by Yoast to help me optimize my website for search engines, but it does not seem to be taking effect. The meta descriptions that do show up on Google are whatever was on the page first, now matter if it is still there or deleted.

    My website is autojourno.com

To see what I am talking about, if you Google “jeep cherokee latitude autojourno”, about halfway down the page you will see the link. The meta description is clearly not very effective, literally reading “TagsCherokee Jeep. logosmall Written by:Blake. My name is Blake and I am the founder, administrator, and moderator of autojourno.” In Yoast it reads “autojourno – Real Reviews by Real Owners – 2015 Jeep Cherokee Latitude review – All the familiar Jeep attributes, in a more compact package”.

Sorry for this post being lengthy, just trying to be thorough. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you in advance.
