Thanks for sharing the relevant website URL here with us. We looked at the front page of the relevant website and see the following meta description:

¿Quieres hacer la carrera en Irlanda o Reino Unido? Sigue estos sencillos pasos para preparar la aplicación.

It looks like Yoast SEO is adding the meta description correctly as expected. So, can you please confirm whether you have defined the same meta description from your end using the Yoast SEO plugin?

We look forward to hearing from you.

Yes, that is the meta description I defined but this is what is actually being displayed when I google it:

    I. Envío de la solicitud (IE). Lo primero que debes saber, es que la aplicación a, prácticamente, cualquier universidad de Irlanda se hace a través de.

    Hi @enicarog ,

As Yoast SEO is outputting the correct meta description entered into the plugin but you’re getting a different result when searching in Google, it’s because Google decided to show a different meta description for your site.
If Google decides to change, ignore, or show something other than your specified meta description, there’s, unfortunately, nothing that you can do about it. The best advice we can provide is to try different descriptions. You can learn more about it here: https://yoast.com/help/my-meta-descriptions-arent-showing-up-in-the-search-result-pages/.

I have read the article and noticed that the problem comes from a meta robots tag that is disabling the meta description. Apparently, now I should set the «Meta robots advanced» to one of these: ‘No Image Index’, ‘No Archive’ or ‘No Snippet’. Do you think that is right? In case it is, which of these three options should I pick?

We don’t think the issue specific to the robots meta. As mentioned already, the issue is specific to Google that modifies the SEO title and meta description based on the search terms, GEO locations, device types, and many other factors. We have already explained why the issue occurs and how to troubleshoot it further in the relevant guide that we have shared with you above.
