Meta Description and Keywords not being added to products

    The meta description and focus keywords are not being filled in on any prodcts in our WordPress Woocommerce site.

    In the Titles & Metas section, Products Meta Description Template, I am using %%excerpt%% and in the Meta Keywords Template I am using %%focuskw%% %%tag%%.

    I know the excerpts are quite long but that isn’t a problem on any of my other sites. I have tried deactivating plugins and makes no difference.

    Any ideas what could be prohibiting the Meta Description and Meta Keywords from being used?
