 * Hi everyone!
 * Please forgive my Nievity. I know nothing about PHP or coding etc. Please treat
   me as a complete idiot with regards to the world of Web Sites.
 * We had our WP website set up some time ago and recently have upgraded our theme
   to ProPhoto. Since our upgrade, we have tried many a time to change the meta
   description on our home page. The only way I know how is to navigate to a page
   and alter the meta description in the box to what I want then click update.

   Usually this works a treat. For some reason when I change the description on
   the home page and update it, it reverts back to the old original description.
 * I must be missing something obvious here, but as I say, I’m a bit of a novice
   at all this stuff.
 * Any help would be greatly recieved.
 * Thanks in advance.
 * Dave.

 * are you using a seo plugin?
    if so, have you checked the settings end entries?
   are you using a static front page or is the front page the page with the posts?
 * have you contacted the developers of ProPhoto for support?
 * this forum here does not support commercial themes; [http://codex.wordpress.org/Forum_Welcome#Commercial_Products](http://codex.wordpress.org/Forum_Welcome#Commercial_Products)

 * Hi There,
 * It’s just the WordPress SEO.
 * I do apologise, “Checked the settings and entries”? Where would I look for these?
 * It is a static front page.
    We’ve had a few diferent themes, mostly WP themes(
   the free ones!) and have had this issue for a while.
 * It’s only now we have adjusted our prices we need to amend the text in the Meta
   Description to reflect this!
 * Hope this helps!
 * Thanks for your time.
