  • I am trying to remove the meta data from my blog page, I am seeing “Uncategorized” and “categories” on my page I was wondering how I remove that permanently. Thank you for checking it out! I am still learning and I am trying to make a basic, clean, functional site and then I will make it fancier with some plugins and images! Thanks again!

Try looking in your theme’s index.php template file.

First off thank you for pointing me in the right direction, secondly, what snippet of code do I need to delete? I have tried deleting a few things and I haven’t gotten the desired result. Thank you again for your help esmi, I really appreciate it!

I am thinking it is somewhere in navigation.php, I was able to get rid of the search box by deleting the contents of searchform.php, but not the word “search” on the page. I wouldn’t mind having a search function in the upper right hand corner of my site about the menu, but I would need to find a way to make the happen.

I still can’t seem to figure out exactly what lines of code I need to delete to get the desired results, any other suggestions?
