• We are using WordPress as a CMS for a non blog website. SEO is VERY important. However, WordPress is writing messy code in the head section. It could be calling out to things, but instead it’s writing it all there in the head section. It’s driving me crazy…how do I clean this up? Here is the link: http://eatplaywilliamsburg.com/ . Any help would be soooo appreciated!

  • I have a question that has nothing to do with your post and for that I apologize, I really like that slider you have, which one is it? And how did you do to show it up there? Im having problems with every slider I try to show in my homepage.

Your head code is actually pretty well layed out, and quite neat.

ALl of that code is related to your use of plugins. I see your analytics code, thickbox, contact form 7, yiour slideshow, all in one seo pack, wp tables, store locator, etc

Basically you can’t do much. That’s how the plugins output. However, tehre is absolutely nothing wrong with your code from an SEO standpoint

@lucilla2011, my husband and I build websites, so we actually created the slider you see on our website “from scratch” using Flash. If you’d like me to get in touch with you about coding this for you and the costs involved, just let me know.

@rev. Voodoo, thanks…I actually installed a plugin and changed something on the website before you wrote that,so you were seeing the “cleaned” code .I just had one last thing that I need to clean up.

Thanks to both for your repsonses!
