The plugin sets the same post date and time for all duplicated posts and when there are several concurrent posts the query parser gets disoriented and returns random posts. Especially when pagination is active, posts get repeated over several pages.

Update: As noted by plugin author, this behavior can be fixed under Tools > Post Duplicator by setting the time stamp to current or a time offset.

You can change this setting (Tools > Post Duplicator) so the duplicated post has a post date of the current time. Or you can set the duplicated posts to have an offset date/time of the original.

You can also manually change the post date of posts you’ve already duplicated that have the same date…

Thank you, I was unaware of that setting. I have updated my rating accordingly. Wouldn’t it be a better idea to make that behavior default? Who needs posts with the same time stamp anyway? An offset of 1 second is enough and should also prevent posts from publishing in the future.

You’re welcome. Yes, I think it would be better default behavior… Initially when I created the plugin I didn’t have the different options and I was always concerned with modifying the previous default behavior (which was using the exact same date) after adding the options, but I think it’s long overdue for the change. I’ll get that adjusted soon with an update.
