When I changed this in the Root Directory
How? Did you just pick up and move the files?
Thanks for asking. I did it on the Dashboard, under General tab I believe. I can’t get back in there to access any more, but it simply showed the url and you could change it. The original url shows:
lastbushpilots.com
I added to the end, /trailer
To have it access that page as the page landing. There is a lastbushpilots.com/trailer page, but for whatever reason, it messed up the formatting, doesn’t use the template I was using, and won’t even let me access the Dashboard panel any more to change it. It all says, “Page not found.”
No files were moved, but I do have a clean copy of the files I could re-upload, if I could find a way to do it.
PS—For what it’s worth, I am on a Mac Pro. Everything I’ve done is online; haven’t used any downloaded software.
Also:
Both
http://www.lastbushpilots.com/trailer/wp-admin
and
http://www.lastbushpilots.com/wp-admin
comes up with, “Page not Found.”
If you simply go to
http://www.lastbushpilots.com
The pages are there, but in no formatting whatsover.
Found a thread with EXACTLY the same problem. Sadly, I am such a moron when it comes to codex stuff, that this is way over my head. Any ideas on how to avoid the scripting…or, if not, how tf do I access this data to change the script?:
http://wordpress.org/support/topic/cant-login-to-admin-panel-2
I have tried and tried to log in with no luck. The above links are exactly my problem, Ipstenu, but there is no explanation where to actually LOG IN to access the Dashboard. If I could, I would be able to solve this. Please someone show me an ALTERNATE way to log in to access my dashboard!
(Every time I try to log in, it shows me the redirected, bad link that I had accidentally created, with no Admin link to get to the Dashboard.)
