Support » Theme: BlackBird » Messed up footer when I changed editor

  • Resolved jessmccleese

    Hello All,

    I tried to follow a few threads for other themes to add the privacy policy to my footer. In the midst of all that I messed up my footer completely. I am now missing the footer (with the different footer content areas) and have an error message at the top and bottom of the screen.

    Any help you can give would be much appreciated!!!!

    Here is my site.

    Thanks in advance!!!

  • Here is the default footer code for that theme. Copy and paste overwriting what is in there now.

    <div class="clear"></div>
    <!--Start Footer-->
    <div class="footer-wrapper">
        <div class="container_24">
            <div class="grid_24">
                <div class="footer">
                    /* A sidebar in the footer? Yep. You can can customize
                     * your footer with four columns of widgets.
    <!--End Footer-->
    <div class="clear"></div>
    <div class="footer_bottom">
        <div class="container_24">
            <div class="grid_24">
                <div class="footer_bottom_inner">
                    <span class="blog-desc">
                        <?php echo get_bloginfo('title'); ?>
                        <?php echo get_bloginfo('description'); ?>
                    <?php if (blackbird_get_option('blackbird_footertext') != '') { ?>
                        <span class="copyright"><?php echo blackbird_get_option('blackbird_footertext'); ?></span>
                    <?php } else { ?>
                        <span class="copyright"><a href=""><?php _e('BlackBird WordPress Theme by', 'black-bird'); ?></a></span>
                    <?php } ?>
    <?php wp_footer(); ?>

    Thanks!!!!! Resolved!

    Me too! Ouu Yeahhh !! 😀

    I deleted my cache and all of a sudden my second and third footer disappeared from my front page … the About Us first footer section is still showing … I tried the above trick but it didn’t restore. I have a feeling that it has to do with the widget plugin, it did say that it relied on the cache. Can anyone please advise. Thanks so much.

    I am using simple page sidebar plugin … is anyone familiar with this plugin? this is my webpage
