Support » Plugin: Translate WordPress with GTranslate » mess up with sub-category that happens to be language code

  • I liked this plugin until I found they “kidnapped” my sub-category.
I have a category /en , even before I installed this plugin. I put English articles there.

But I found out after I installed Gtranslate, the /en page is kidnapped to show “Gtranslatiion payment” page. (and I didn’t even need to use this plugin for /en , I only activated the plugin for japanese and korean!).

Even after I deactivated and deleted GTranslate, my /en page is gone forever with “too many re-direct”.

    Hi,

I believe that you have enabled sub-directory URL structure (paid) option at some point which added language code rewrite rules into your .htaccess file.

You can modify your .htaccess file and remove GTranslate rules and it will be back to normal.

Usually our users contact our live chat for solutions if they have any issues instead of leaving negative reviews.

If you are having issues with my instructions, please feel free to contact our live chat and we will help: https://gtranslate.io/#contact

    Thanks! 🙂
