Hi, all. I’ve searched and searched the forums (and pawed through the documentation) and either am not searching right (don’t know what it’s called) or there simply isn’t anything on this yet.
I am using the Green Idea Theme, which I have been able to customize here and there.
It says it’s widget-ready, but wasn’t, so I followed the directions to make it so. Voila! I was able to widgetize the sidebar. Yay.
But then I saw that my widgetized sidebar was not displaying everything according to the theme’s style. So I removed all the widgets from the sidebar, causing it to return to the default theme sidebar. I’ve been able to cobble some things into the sidebar.php file to put in there what I’d like, but am clueless for the rest of it.
Here’s the site so far: http://www.ocfcohio.org/wordpress
I’d like to be able to call in the Events Calendar widget/plugin underneath the heading you see for it.
And I also wish to put one RSS feed under daily news. The site we want to pull the feed from recommends Feedroll, but I’m sure there’s a widget/plugin someone can suggest that would be easy to call into the sidebar.
Am I asking too much? Truly, any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
Just to prove I am trying hard to figure this out on my own…
I think I’m looking to find out how the sidebar widget outputs the code, so I can make sure my style sheet accounts for the headers and layout.
I have switched back to using the sidebar widgets, and everything but the RSS1 is working well, but the layout is still screwy.
So… help is still needed, please.
