    Yes, you can merge it with an existing WP site.
    Don’t forget to make a backup of the WP site first.
    But you cannot select which content to import. To do that, I advise you to clone the Joomla site, remove the content you don’t want to import and do the import from the clone.

    Thanks for the reply. Just want to check which content will be imported from the Joomla site – is it just all the articles and categories? And these are added to WP as either all posts or all pages?

    Images, articles, and categories will be migrated using this plugin. Articles under any category will be added as posts and the uncategorized articles are added as pages.

    Ok, thanks. So is imported content automatically published, or added as draft?

    Before importing, you have an option to import all the articles as posts or all the articles as pages. The uncategorized articles follow the same rule.
    The Joomla published articles will be imported as published on WordPress. And the unpublished articles will be imported as drafts.
