Since I started with WP Statistics my Page and Post ID syntax has changed. Therefore I receive separate stats for e.g. /?page_id=5 and /?page_id=5&lang=de which is exactly the same Page / Post.

How can I merge the visitors / hits counts to get clean stats?

That’s a more complex question then it first appears.

    The short answer is, no.

The longer answer is, maybe, with a lot of work. If you have changed your permalink structure then any stat on a page that has to use the URL to uniquely identify the page will give you the split results. You could manually updated the database, replacing the old url’s with the new format, but that would require quite a lot of work.

The exception to this is that any stat you have that is based on page/post id will automatically combine these in the plugin when reporting them.

Thanks Greg. Guess I’ll have to live with it… 😉
