I have an online retail store in the making. I have a developer assisting me who has set up a tax system to automatically be charged at checkout. It’s working because the shipping cost shows that tax has been applied to it.

Using the woocommerce plug-in for implementing taxes and total cost according to my developer woocommerce has had a bug in several versions in it for some time. The problem is that when you proceed to the cart and checkout (although the tax system has been set up and is working for shipping),any merchandise bought does not have any tax applied to it at the checkout table. So a customer can spend $200.00, but the tax does not get applied and added to the products.

I don’t know what they are thinking but there are no known tax bugs in WC core – that would be insanely bad for many sellers, including us 🙂

Can you screenshot your tax settings + rates, as well as tax settings for an example product?
