menus

I am using tierra.net hosting service, and have recently installed wordpress, using an FTP client. The installation went great, except for a few things I did not understand about remote hosts without Cpanel. But, there is a problem I am having with wordpress. When I go to create a menu, it is created from right to left instead from left to right. So, the welcome page or home page is on the far right instead of the left. Could that be due to a corrupted file in the process of uploading, or do I need to create another database to fix the problem.
The hosting service suggested I contact you about the problem. Can you help?
