    Here is a link to my website: http://myancientwisdom.com/blog/

    The home page looks just the way I want it at the top. But all my menu options are crammed together with the top of the pages. I want all the white parts of the page text to be further down so that the menu options are on top of the background image.

    Also, and this may be part of the problem above, the margin on the white text area of my blog page and Disclaimer page is so narrow between the words and the where the white text are and background image touch. I want this area to be larger all the way around.

  • Try adding the below CSS code into Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS in your site dashboard.

    @media only screen and (min-width:1025px) {

      .site-header,
      .site-header.fixed {
        position: static;
      }

      .page-wrap {
        padding-top: 0;
      }

    }

    Try adding this CSS code:

    .sfsi_footerLnk {
      padding: 20px 0;
    }

    The first code you gave to change the menu area worked PERFECTLY! Thanks.

    But, the second code changed only the space under the white footer area and made the background image zoom in.

    What I want is for the blog posts page to have a wider margin between the words on the white text page and the edge of the page.

    Actually, something happened to the home page header after I entered that first code. All the other pages are just fine. But there is a background image now behind the home page menu.

    I want only the slider to be behind the menu as is was to begin with, the full view slider only.

    Did you see my last post?
    I am conversing with someone else about this too and they said that this part is a problem.

    .site-header,
    .site-header.fixed {
    position: static;
    }

    Hello there,

    Please replace the first code with this one:

    @media only screen and (min-width:1025px) {

      body:not(.home) .site-header,
      body:not(.home) .site-header.fixed {
        position: static;
      }

      .page-wrap {
        padding-top: 0;
      }

    }

    to avoid static header positioning on homepage.

    To add more space between main content and footer areas, try adding the below code:

    #sidebar-footer {
      margin-top: 80px;
    }

    Regards,
    Kharis

    Thanks so much, that fix did the trick!

    I tried adding in the the footer code and didn’t really like it, but I am good with the way things are now so I will let that go for now.

    Thanks again. 🙂
