Menu waaaay down page in Kubrick in IE

  • Hi all, I realised this morning that my menu structure is waaaaay down the page in Internet Explorer (and not in other browsers).

I’m using Kubrick as my theme and the code on the page validates fine.

Anyone else come across this and know how I can resolve it?

    Thanks,

    Tom

  • It could be (or is) that extra long URL you have in your post “Boost Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) using Permalinks”? I don’t know how to solve that though (elegantly, that is 🙂 ), but hasn’t there been discussion about that pretty recently?

    Right Minna,

ok – I have the Code tag set quite small in CSS, it appears small in Firefox – I’ll have to try to get a look at it in IE.

Well, the easiest workaround was to reduce the size of the URL by chopping off the “http://www.” part!

I did that and the page appears to render properly in IE again!

    Bizarre!

I notice this problem with most themes which use the float: for displaying the sidebar.

Unfortunately the only suggestion I found for this as of now is to ensure that the width of your content/text/images be smaller than the width of the div.

Alternatively, you will need edit the sidebar div to display it as absolute
