Menu titles for multi-language site on twentytwelve with stella

    I am very new to WordPress and creating my own site. I had trouble creating a child site, so all of my customizations are in the parent site. Using stella, I created a bilingual site, french and English, and created french companion pages for each English (default) page in my theme.

    My Navigation Menu reflects the french titles when I toggle to French, but the main header menu maintains the English page titles. I would like it to show the french titles. Can someone help me with this?

    (if you can give me an easy way to set up the child site, if it is not too late, that would be great too!)
