If you’re meaning tabbed content that you have in a sidebar or widget or content that’s part of a custom post type or taxonomy, it will not be displayed in your mobile theme with the free version of WPtouch.

WPtouch Pro can handle custom post types, custom page templates, and desktop theme shortcodes but the stripping of widgets is part of the streamlining of the mobile experience. Again, though, because WPtouch Pro is fully customizable, even that content can be added in a number of ways.

In wordpress you can add pages and categories to the menu tabs. So I’m talking about the categories. These don’t get picked up by the free WPtouch hey?

Yes, they should. They appear in the “Categories” tab in the dropdown menu. Just make sure the “Enable Categories tab in the header” is enabled in the WPtouch settings.
