Support » Theme: WP Inspire Writer » Menu structure not alphabetical order

  • I want my primary menu to display in the order I set in the menu structure. However, it instead displays in alphabetical order. I am using the WP Inspire Writer theme. Can anyone help me out and explain how to change the order in which the menu items are displayed?

    I searched these support pages and the solutions that worked for others don’t apply to the theme I’m using. I can find neither “wp_page_menu()” nor “wp_list_pages” (elements refered to in the support posts on this topic) in any of the theme’s PHP files. I believe the code that displays the menu is lines 31-34 in header.php which say:

    <nav id=”site-navigation” class=”main-navigation” role=”navigation”>
    <button class=”menu-toggle”><?php _e( ‘Primary Menu’, ‘wp-inspire-writer’ ); ?></button>
    <?php wp_nav_menu( array( ‘theme_location’ => ‘primary’ ) ); ?>
    </nav><!– #site-navigation –>

    I’m not familiar enough with PHP to know how to modify this code so that it changes the order of the menu items from alphabetical to the order set in the menu structure.
