# Menu see without …

 * when i make to show same news or site and they ar not in the “menu” .. then i
   see this site, but the menu is not in the sitebar. what can i do to see the menu
   although the current site is not in the wordpress menu? can you help me?

 * I’m struggling to understand the problem here. A shortcode equivalent of your
   widget setup would help (copy-paste it from the bottom of the widget)?
 * My best guess(!) is that you have a setup that relies on Current Item being present,
   such that when no Current Item is available then you get no output?
    If that 
   is the case, the try setting an **ALTERNATIVE** with _On condition_ set to `Current
   Item is NOT in... Menu` (using the 2 dropdowns); leave the textarea empty – this
   will show your entire menu, and you can then refine it as you wish.
 * If I have misunderstood the problem, please let me know.

   _any_ other language is virtually non-existent!

 * Now i see the menu! thats good. But now all menupoints include childrensites 
   are open. thats not good. i want only the rootmenu (parent) see..
    can you help
   me again? thanks for help .. jo

    `depth=1` in the **ALTERNATIVE**‘s textarea.
