 * I want to have a drop down menu at the top of the page instead of the pages being
   listed as words across the top. I’m sure a drop down menu appeared after I clicked
   on a few things but i have no idea where its gone.

 * i also just realised that the drop down menu is there when the site isnt in desktop
   mode, when i view it from a phone or minimise the screen i can see the drop down
   menu..

 * What you see in the mobile view is the toggle button, not a menu,
 * You can add menus while following the given document link.
