  • I reviewed the the edin-theme and it’s working fine for me.
You can see the link: http://prntscr.com/9pjemd
I saw the view source, the menu is loading there but hiding.

    Thanks πŸ™‚
why would the menu hide? and how can I change that?

    that puzzles me even more…
i chose the classic menu over the standart-one.
on mobile devices, the standart-menu ist working fine (also on the posts-page) – but whenever I use a desktop computer, with whatever browser, there is no menu (except for when I minimizie the window and it switches to standart-menu)

Have you made any edits at all to the theme files? If you have, could you try undoing them to see if that fixes the issue? Let me know.

    Hello sim-oh,
    How are you doing?
First, do back up of your theme. You can use plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/backwpup/ to perform back up
    Then Follow Following Steps:
1.Click on Appearance Β» Themes>> Activate other theme than Edin.
2.Again,Click on Appearance Β» Themes>> Hover the Mouse over Active theme>> Click the “Theme Details” button.
3.Click Next Arrow button on the top left side of theme until you find Edin. Click Delete button
4.Go to Appearance Β» Themes>> Add New >>Upload Edin theme. Activate the theme.

Now, check various options of theme again to see if your issue is resolved by doing so.

Note :Like @kathryn mentioned you must have edited the original themes. Please donot edit the original theme files. Instead create child theme and edit files inside child theme. Now from your backed up files earlier make necessary modification in child theme. To make child theme you can use plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/one-click-child-theme/

    Thanks

    Hi there,

well, I’m still puzzled, but glad that I finally asked someone and you’re even trying to help me πŸ™‚
Usually, I’m more the try-it-yourself kind of person.

I deleted the Edin theme and re-installed it, no changes to the not-appearing-menu on the posts-page.

Changing the theme’s options to using the standart-menu would help (the standart menu appears) – but I want to use the classic menu πŸ™

I like the child-theme-plugin, thanks for mentioning that one πŸ™‚

    Another troubleshooting step:

To rule out a plugin conflict, you could try temporarily deactivating all your plugins. Does the problem persist? If the problem is gone, reactivate your plugins one-by-one, look at the site in between each reactivation, to find the conflict.

    Wohooo!

    That helped!
It was the lightbox gallery plugin.

Thank you two both so very much for caring and helping!

Yay – I’m glad you found the culprit, thanks for letting us know!

Finally, you fixed it.Can you report this issue to plugin author.

We fix what we can fix, find help with what we can’t fix, and give
    in whatever way we can.

    That’s the moto of wordpress.

Can you report this issue to plugin author.

Of course, it’s already done πŸ™‚

    Good Job !!

Hi all, I have been pulling my hair out trying to edit the colour of the menu navigation bar. I would like to point out the area more clearlyu by posting a picture.

I have been through various forums looking for my answers but have had no joy thus far.

Please point me to where I must go to make this change.

I can email someone the screen dump for clarification.

razmalik – please start a new thread and provide a link your site; this thread is resolved and about a different issue. Thanks!

You can upload the screenshot – in a graphic format like JPG, PNG, or PDF – in your Media Library, and provide a link so folks can see it, or upload it with a service like Imgur or Snaggy.
