Support » Plugin: Max Mega Menu » Menu not working on mobile version – no errors

    Hi
I am using Mega Menu for the first time and have set it up on the above domain.
The site is using Airi theme and built using Elementor.
It works fine in Elementor responsive mobile view, but the menu options are not clickable and no sub-menus showing in the mobile version.
I’ve checked documentation and previous forum questions and can see there are a couple of things to check. The call to footer is in the footer.php and I can’t see any javascript errors (although I don’t know any javascript so I could be missing something here).
Can someone take a look and let me know if I’m missing something please?
    With thanks
    Tony

    Hi Tony,

    Thanks for posting a link.

I’ve installed Airi here and I’m afraid I dont think it will be possible to get MMM to be compatible with the mobile version of this theme due to the way it has been coded.

Do you have Elementor Pro? If so maybe you can use the header builder to recreate your header in Elementor. The mobile menu should work then. Otherwise I think you would need to use a dedicated mobile plugin (one that is independant from both MMM and your theme) – ShiftNav and Responsive Menu are both free and well respected mobile menu plugins you could use.

    Regards,
    Tom

OK Tom, thank you for the advice
I will have a look at the plugins you suggest and see what might be suitable.
    With gratitude
    Tony

    Hi Tony!
Max Megamenu works great with Airi, it just requires some tweaks. To make it work, you need to delete from the header everything concerning the original theme menu.
As well as this, you need to create an additional theme position from MegaMenu and assign a menu to it.
Then, you copy the php the plugin gives you on the location where you want the menu to appear (in our case, in the navbar).
